Wear resistance
HELICOIL® threads are resistant to friction. The high surface quality of the internal thread made of austenitic chrome-nickel stainless steel ensures extremely strong threads. Furthermore, the thread features extremely low constant friction.

Reduced thread friction
HELICOIL® reduces thread friction and leakage gap. This means that during the torque-controlled tightening procedure, the variable preload force of the screw is adjusted more precisely, thus making better use of the elasticity limit of the screw.

Anti-unscrewing safety. The polygonal thread of HELICOIL® Screwlock ensures strong friction which opposes any risk of unscrewing the screw. Therefore it is not necessary to secure the screwing with washers, lock nuts etc.
